TREKKING ON THE VIA FRANCIGENA

A pilgrimage trail from Canterbury to Rome

Our holiday home lies on the stretch that connects the small village of Gambassi Terme to San Gimignano, for a total of about 13 km. The Via Francigena attracts thousands of passionate travelers every year who set out to discover some of the main stages. Stroll along country paths (marked with the words '' VF ''), stop and contemplate the view of the surrounding vineyards or have a picnic in the nature. The stretch from Pancole to the Romanic Church of Cellole is particularly suggestive.
